Asian Occasion : DogBird 2 + Tempura-San Figure FX Customs

In this week's double release, we are welcoming 2 new series to 2 popular Asian creations! One of which is the familiar DogBird Series with updated members, a series designed by Korean design studio Third Stage, that is polished, cute yet quirky and quite rebellious. The other is also a familiar silhouette, Tempura-San by Super Kaiju Corps, now in psychedelic metallic hues customed by Figure FX from Thailand. 

As avid collectors ourselves, we recognize the unique personality and trends of toys produced in different parts of the world and that is what we love about collecting – it connects people of different cultures through the love for aesthetics, humor, and interesting ideas! These toys are definitely proud representatives of uniquely Korean and Thai styles respectively, so let's meet them!



Flying in from Korea is a fleet of 6 new Dogbirds joining the beloved Dogbird series. This series was previously created in a crowdfunding and eventually produced due to its popular demand. In this series, the most popular one seems to be the Shiba-bird, stealing hearts with its squinty eyes. Frise-bird, a fluffy little fella spotting the trendy circle-cut proves to be quite a charmer as well. We are also particularly tickled by the introduction of Sheep-bird, which turns out to be yet another wordplay on a Korean profanity "새끼" — go ahead, look it up ;-)

Next up, we have a special line-up of Tempura-San by Super Kaiju Corps, lovingly customed by Figure_FX. These were premiered at Thailand Toy Expo earlier this May, and only 12 of these guys were made altogether, in 3 main colors. We are now opening 5 of them for our friends all over to purchase.


However, due to the low quantity and time-zone differences, we will be carrying out the sales of this item in the form of a lottery! Yes, so you don't risk missing it if you don't wake up at 7am on a weekend. 

So how does this work? It's quite simple.

First, sign up in the Google Form between 4th August, 10 a.m. EDT and 10th August, 10 a.m. EDT. We will enter all the names into a randomizer to pick 5 winners who will then be eligible to purchase the Tempura-San customs.

If you are one of the lucky ones, do make the payment within 48 hours of receiving the email notification or else the chance will be forfeited, and passed on to someone else!

We will then send out the Tempura-San in a random manner, so neither you nor we would know which Tempura-San you will receive. Exciting!
