It's A Wood Awakening Halloween!

We've got the thrills for the chills, it's Halloween! Who can resist immaculately carved pumpkins, candies, dress up, and most importantly turning into the undead by drinking yourself silly?

This Halloween, we're making things a little more fun with the Halloween exclusive release of A Wood Awakening: East Meets West! Inspired by eastern and western folktales, this spooky twist on our favourite puppet arrives just in time to steal some treats and play some tricks.

Representing the east in this "East Meets West" version of A Wood Awakening is the Jiangshi! A Jiangshi, also known as a Chinese hopping vampire or hopping zombie, is a type of reanimated corpse in Chinese legends and folklore. 

Typically depicted as a stiff corpse dressed in official garments from the Qing Dynasty, it moves around by hopping with its arms outstretched. A Wood Awakening dons the recognisable outfit, complete with a cooler skin tone for the fashionable zombie look. Something else is outstretched though...

A Wood Awakening reps the west with the vampire! Vampires are undead creatures that often visit loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited while they were alive. They're also most known for sucking the blood out of their victims, and being deathly afraid of garlic and sunlight.

A Wood Awakening dons the classic vampire outfit for his second Halloween look. Complete with a cape and fangs, and none of the sparkling nonsense of lesser vampires. He making sure you know he's after your blood!

Being a twin set, the A Wood Awakening: East Meets West comes in a special bi-fold packaging. With coffin shaped windows, the spooky theme continues! Display them in the packaging or take them out and use it as a backdrop, the choice is yours.
